Ahh weekend. My enthusiasm for school seems to diminish each semester in spite of the fact that now I'm finally learning interesting stuff. I think a large part of that is dealing with stupid freshman and stupid bureaucracy over and over.My main objective today is to get a majority of the widows washed and storm-windowed. This assumes that the temperature gets above 50. Then maybe I'll clean some of the inside of the house too, who knows? I've noticed that our collection of rarely-never used kitchen appliances multiplying lately. I even found myself contemplating installing more cabinets to provide storage for said appliances. We now own: a food dehydrator, a snow cone machine, an ice-cream maker, a bread machine, 2 crockpots, a rice maker, a blender, a food processor, a toaster, and a coffee maker. In spite of all this I'm still lusting after a foodsaver, you know, one of those vacum sealing devices. I don't really understand this weakness for appliances since we hardly ever cook. Although I know that a few were gifts and at least three were clearance items. Does it seem way to soon for October to anyone else? posted by Rachel 10/6/2001 . . .
