Sympathizing with ScroogeWell the snow held off until after Thanksgiving as requested. It still sucks. I remember when the first snowfall was magical and Christmas was stress-free. I'm disappointed to have joined the adult world at last. Oh well. Also we're broke and on a diet which is really irritating during the holidays. I've got more than half of my shopping done. That should feel like more of an accomplishment than it does. I found Benno's present on super-ultra-internet-instant-coupon-free-shipping-day-after-thanksgiving sale, which is nice. But it's supposed to arrive in the next few days here and I can't stand the thought of stuffing it in a closet and waiting another month to give it to him. Does anyone else have this problem? Once I find the perfect gift for someone waiting to give it to them is excruciating. On the list of things that please me:-Watching my cats watch birds on TV. For most of my life I didn't think they could see what was on TV or that they just weren't interested. But during a recent spate of Animal Planet viewing I've changed my mind. It's so cute to watch their little eyes follow the movement on the screen as they squeak in excitement.-Having only three weeks of school left. Yay vacation.-Having succesfully finished an unfinished nightstand and being very happy with the results. Yay sandpaper. posted by Rachel 11/26/2001 . . .
